Glossy White Vinyl is a good choice if you want to print as close to "true" color as you can. Note that home printing can't produce metallics, so if you're trying to simulate silver borders on GB labels, you have to settle for a grey.
Silver Vinyl has a subtle effect. It's not super shiny, I agree with some of the online reviews complaining that it skews more grey than silver.
Gold/Silver foil are very nice, especially if you want the majority of your label to be bare metal. Because it's a paper backed sheet and not vinyl, it is a little less durable. trying to hand cut with a razor blade is not recommended. For some reason the blade creates a turned up edge when cut as opposed to a good pair of scissors. This may be correctable by adjusting the angle that you cut with the razor, YMMV.
Holo Vinyl Optical Pattern Effects can be a little gaudy; there's a lot going on in the holo so the picture can get lost in the pattern. Depending on your design and application however, the effects can be quite nice.

Clear Vinyl applied as a top layer to your print can give your labels a more durable and professional looking finish. I have trouble applying the clear layer without trapping air or dust in large surface areas, so I like to apply it individually for each layer. Stick the clear sheet down so that there is extra material past your label's borders, then do the final cut out of your label through all the laminated layers.
Holo Vinyl - My favorite "all around" choice for stickers. It gives your print a little something extra, and since it's base color is close to white you get pretty good colors printing from a home printer.

Corner radius on OEM labels is probably 1mm, however the smallest easily available corner punch is 2mm. this looks close enough, otherwise you can try to manually round the corners with scissors.
